4 Reasons Why You’d NEVER Want A Coach

why you never want a coach

Reality is that nobody needs a coach…coaching is for people who want to put in the effort to create a better future. Coaching is for those who want and value an outside perspective to challenge their thinking, learning, being, and doing in order to move closer to their best personal and professional selves. My clients hire me because they WANT a powerful coach to help them fly at their highest levels.

Let’s start with a clarification: what is a business coach?

A business coach  is a professional who will assist and guide client (the coachee)  to have a clarify of vision of their business life  that fits in with their personal goals.

A business coach  is typically an expert entrepreneur or executive who know how to grow successful businesses. His experience helps clients reacheing their goals.

Hiring a business coach is like having a highly experienced partner in your corner. They provide guidance that can help you navigate the rough terrain of building your personal career or other business goals. That may include things like defining goals, crafting strategies for growth, or plan for better management of your professional brand.

Often people wonder whether or not they really want a coach. Here are 4 reasons that will help you with your decision.

You won’t want a coach if….

1.You have eyes outside of your own head and can accurately see how the world perceives you at all times.

One of the most powerful things that I do for my clients is that I’m able to see things that they can’t see. I can see how people are getting in their own way before they do. I often can see their path to getting unstuck before they do as well. As a business coach, I have the courage to say uncomfortable things to them that others won’t say. I help clients increase both internal and external self-awareness in order to get them what they want faster. Internal self-awareness is accurately knowing what you want, what you value, and what your strengths and weaknesses are. External self-awareness is knowing the impact that you have on others. You are aware how you make others feel, and knowing your role in what others want, what they value, and how your strengths and weaknesses interact with others’ strengths and weaknesses. If you have perfect internal and external self-awareness 100% of the time, then you definitely do not want a coach

2.You have already learned everything there is to know about yourself, about others, and about the world.

The professional definition of coaching according to the International Coach Federation is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. I might further add to this definition that coaching is about empowering the client to generate new learning, increase self-awareness, and to identify and achieve meaningful goals. So coaching would definitely not benefit you if you have absolutely nothing new to learn…ever and don’t have any desire whatsoever to have improvement in any area of your life.

3.You are absolutely certain that your fears are 100% true all of the time, will never change, and all of the negative things that you ruminate about in the future will come true without a doubt and there is absolutely nothing you can do to change the situation or your mindset for the rest of your lifetime.

I help you reframe your thinking in order to take a different course of action which then produces new outcomes. You’ll have a new experience. But if you already know that nothing will ever work in your favor for the rest of your life, then working with a coach is useless. I only will try to empower you to think differently and in a more useful way. But if you already know that coaching will never ever work for you. None of your goals will ever come true. Then you definitely do not want a coach as it will just be a huge waste of time and effort

4.You’re completely satisfied with where you’re at in every single aspect of your life and you have no desire whatsoever for anything to get better…ever.

Powerful coaches can help you dream bigger than you’ve ever dreamed before. Coaches invite you to take bolder actions than if you were doing it on your own which expands your comfort zone which then expands your life. Strong coaches help you dive into the world of ‘what’s possible’ to imagine what your life would be like if your ‘secret dreams’ were a reality. Coaches also help you uncover dreams that have been buried and also new dreams that you didn’t even know existed. Coaches empower clients to live in a world where ‘anything is possible’. However, you definitely do not want a coach if you prefer to live in a world where ‘nothing is possible.”
